Linda Gayle Smith, age 65, of McKinney, Texas, passed away December 24, 2010, in McKinney. Linda was born September 8, 1945, in McKinney, Texas, to William Lewis and Bertha Lauretia (Smith) Trammell. She married Mike Smith on May 23, 1975, in Plano, Texas. Linda worked at Texas Instruments for numerous years and then was employed at Rockwell International for ten years. Linda was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her husband, Mike Smith of McKinney, Texas; daughters, Sherri Jenkins of McKinney, Texas, Tammie Scarborough of Dallas, Texas, and Cindy Killgo and husband, Randy of Merit, Texas; grandchildren, Randall Jenkins, Randy Scarborough, and Cody and Alyssa Killgo; sisters, Louise Getz of Hurst, Texas and Cathey Westbrook of Frankston, Texas; brother, William Lewis “Rusty” Trammell of Robinson, Texas; and numerous other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 28, 2010, at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation beginning at 7:00 p.m., Monday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen.
