Mrs. Linda L. Smith, age 64, of Leonard, Texas passed away August 9, 2008, in Sherman, Texas. She was born on December 6, 1943, in San Antonio to Hansford Alton and Gladys Lorene (Swatsell) Love. On July 30, 1962, she married Cletice Wayne Smith in McKinney, Texas. Mrs. Smith was a retired rural mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. She was also a member of the Hillcrest Christian Church in McKinney. Mrs. Smith loved to show off her yard work and was a very loving and involved mother and grandmother. She is survived by her daughters, Tammy Griffin and husband, J.D. of Sherman, Texas, Jamie Tomlinson and husband, Bruce of Melissa, Texas, Joanna McCain and husband, David of Leonard, Texas, Shelley Wood of Whitewright, Texas; 10 grandchildren, Kasey, James, Leslie, Damon, Josh, Nikolas, Matt, Veronica, Erin and Daniel; brothers, Henry Love of McKinney, James Love Sr. of Bastrop, Texas, Joe Love of Princeton, Texas and Mickey Love of Lowry Crossing, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cletice Smith; and son-in-law, Earl Wood. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, August 12, 2008, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Interment will follow at Wilson Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 7:00 p.m., Monday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
