Linda "Lin" Lee (Jewell) Tiede

Linda Lee (Jewell) Tiede, “Lin”, 42, of Frisco , Texas , passed away on December 13, 2012 with her family and close friends by her side.
A celebration of life will be held at 7pm, December 18th, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church of Frisco, 7659 Preston Road , Frisco , TX . 75034. Reception to follow immediately.
Linda was born in Binghamton , NY on January 19, 1970. She graduated from Norwich High School and continued on to receive a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Potsdam College .
She married Scott Tiede on August 1,1998 and they were blessed with 3 children; Alexis, Eric and Michael.
 
Linda worked as a case manager for Denton MHMR for many years before leaving to raise her wonderful children. She was passionately involved in the Small World Christmas Angel Program and volunteering at her children’s elementary school. She enjoyed singing and long chats with her friends. She was always trying to help others and rescue stray animals.
 
She is survived by her spouse, Scott and their children, Alexis, Eric and Michael, her parents Philip Jewell Sr. and Shirley Walsh (David); father-in-law Gene Tiede (Pat), mother-in-law Sharon McWethy, brothers-in-law Kevin Tiede (Rachel), Chip Tiede, and sister-in-law Kimberly Allen(Grant). Her brother Philip Jewell Jr.(Lisa), nieces: Alyssa Tiede, Cierra Tiede, Emma Tiede, Lilly Tiede, Anneliese Jewell, and Paige Carkuff; nephews: Hunter Tiede and Kayden Jewell, and great nephew, Kayden and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
 
Linda is preceded in death by grandparents, Earl and Eleanor Keenan, Lawrence and Eleanor Jewell; uncle, Lawrence Keenan; cousin, Laura Kennedy-Shick, and brother-in-law, Eric Tiede.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to SouthernCare Hospice, 5800 North I-35, Suite 200; Denton, TX. 76207, Frisco First United Methodist Church , 7659 Preston Road , Frisco TX 75034 or Small World Foundation (http://swcharity.org). Linda’s family wants to thank Dr. Trillo’s staff at Texas Oncology, the staff at Baylor Rehab, and the staff at SouthernCare Hospice for treating her like the special person we knew her to be. We would also like to thank the numerous friends and neighbors who have continued to support Linda and her family during this long battle. The outpouring of love and support has been overwhelming and speaks volumes about the person Linda was.
