Lina Pauline Johnson, age 73 of Gunter, Texas passed away on January 17, 2009 in Sherman, Texas. She was born on February 19, 1935 in Herrington, Kansas to Glen Henry Yakle, Sr. and Thelma Marie (Gutsch) Yakle. Lina married Murray Dean Johnson, Sr. on September 2, 1958 in Durant, Oklahoma. She worked with the Celina ISD for 24 years as a Food Service Director. Lina is survived by her children, Murray Johnson, Jr., and his wife, Donna of McKinney, Texas, Paul William Johnson & his wife, Valerie of Lewisville, Texas, Deborah Conner & her husband, Wendell of Mount Pleasant, Iowa, Nedra Highlen & her husband, Delbert of Gunter, Texas; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Richard Yakle of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; sister, Marie Fryhover of Newton, Kansas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Murray Dean Johnson, Sr.; grandchildren, Melody Highlen, Esther Johnson; great-grandchild, Johnathan Dale Johnson; mother, Thelma Marie Gutsch; father, Glen Henry Yakle, Sr.; sister, Ida Hall and brother, Glen Yakle. Family will receive friends at a Visitation from 6-8PM on Monday, January 19, 2009 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Gunter, Texas. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 with Pastor Mark Mullins officiating. Interment will follow at Whitaker Cemetery in Gunter. Memorials may be made in Lina's Memory to Greenville Bible Missionary Church.
