Lillion Ann Jamerson, age 62, of Dallas, Texas passed away December 21, 2009. She was born December 20, 1947 in Dallas, Texas to Archie James Durham, Sr. and Margaret (Luster) Durham. Lillion attended public schools in Dallas and attended school at El Centro Community College. She married Calvin Payton in Dallas, Texas. Calvin and Lillion had one son, Keelin. She spent most of her career in the Mortgage industry and was a member of St. Mark’s Missionary Baptist Church in McKinney, where she sang in the choir. Lillion was awarded the “Most Spirited” by her church family and she was also involved in the Christian Care Ministry. Lillion loved the Lord, and enjoyed her crossword puzzles. She is survived by her son, Keelin Payton of Dallas, Texas; sisters, Ruby Howard of Plano, Texas, Arneita Carson and husband, Willie of Plano, Texas, Kay McGraw and husband, Donnie of Houston, Texas; brother, Archie Durham, Jr. and wife, Edith of Dallas, Texas; nieces, Amy Carson, Tonya Durham; nephews, Corey Durham, George Morehead, Nicholas Thomas, Kenneth Redic, Jr., and Kris McGraw; great-nephew, Colton Durham; cousin Jessie Barrett and family of Greenville, Texas; uncle, Henry Durham. She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Margaret Durham Hooks; husband, Otis Jamerson; sister, Magdalene Durham and step-father, Roy Hooks. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 29, 2009, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, December 30, 2009, at St. Mark’s Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Charles S. Wattley officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park.
