Lela Shaw Schollenberger was born in Sulphur Springs, Texas to C.N. and Bonnie Shaw. She passed to the Lord in her sleep and into eternal rest with the Lord on February 6, 2005. She graduated from Sulphur Springs High School in 1940. Her love and devotion went to her church, First Christian Church in Anna, Texas where she served as Deaconess. She also loved our ranch, her flowers and making good investments in the stock market. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jim of Anna; son, Don of Chicago; daughter, Jan of Dallas; grandson, Jay also of Dallas. Special thanks to her caregivers for several months, Tanya and Barbara and the doctors and nurses of the several hospitals of the past seven months. The support and prayers of her many friends and neighbors have been a sustaining blessing for her many months of illness. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, February 10, 2005, at the First Christian Church in Anna with Rev. Don Stockford, Rev. Jack Smith and Rev. Jeff Foster officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home for visitation. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday at City Cemetery in Sulphur Springs.
