Lawrence (Larry) F. Bienvenu, Jr., 94, of Rockford, IL and Louisiana, died July 14, 2015 in McKinney, Texas. Larry was born April 23, 1921 in New Orleans, LA. and was the son of Lawrence and Cecile Bienvenu. Larry was united in marriage to a very lovely lady and a wonderful mother and wife, Adine E. Shaw, on May 31, 1945. Larry and Adine were married for 40 years. Larry was an avid bowler, golfer and sport enthusiast. He had a registered “hole-in-one” and pitched a baseball “no hit no run” game and a “no hit one run” game in succession. His high series in bowling was 688 and high game was 288. He loved art and music but preferred sports. Larry was employed and retired as Sales Promotion Manager and Purchaser for Petrolane Gas, Louisiana Division.
Those left to honor his memory include one son, Rodrick (Rick) and wife Rosi Bienvenu of Rockford, Il. and two daughters, Eileen and husband Byron Holt of Allen, Tx. and Deborah (Debbie) and husband Alex Petho of Albany, LA., eight grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Adine and also by Shirley Sabin, a wonderful longtime companion, best friend and love.
He wanted to say thanks to Angelo & Rose for wonderful Italian dinners and to Park Lanes and Don Carter’s for the “good times”. Have Fun!

The family will receive friends at a visitation Sunday, July 19th at 3:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
