Lavina Viola Jones, age 86 of Frisco, Texas passed away peacefully on January 5, 2012 in Frisco. She was born on January 17, 1925 in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma to Frank and Mary Magdelene (Wilson) Ratliff. Lavina married Edward Jones on December 8, 1945 at the First Baptist Church in Fort Cobb. She worked in the Antiques trade and both Lavina and Ed were long time members of the First United Methodist Church of Frisco. She is survived by her husband, Ed Jones of Frisco, Texas; children, Mary Ann White and her husband, Larry of Frisco, Texas, Edna Stock and her husband, Bill of Hortense, Georgia, Kenneth Jones and his wife, Gina of Binger, Oklahoma, Kathy Ferrell and her husband, Dusty of Ball Ground, Georgia; grandchildren, John Howell, Marisa Peterson, Jeremy Jones, Ed Howell, Brandi Kelley, Jennifer Barnum, Sarah Tarplee, Jessica Chappell, Maggie Tarplee, Jonathan Tarplee; nineteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Jean Easterling, Frankie Conrad and her husband, Paul, Wanda King, Norma Harris and her husband, A.C.; brother, Tom Ratliff and his wife, Sue; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and a host of friends. Lavina is preceded in death by her sisters, Cathryn Ratliff and Lanora Whaley and parents, Frank and Maggie Ratliff. The family will receive friends at a Visitation to be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home on January 6, 2012 from 6-7 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at The First Baptist Church of Fort Cobb, Oklahoma at 2:00 PM with Pastor Bill Meek and Pastor Lance Whaley officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Cobb Cemetery.
