Laveria Sylvia Vest, age 93 of Celina, Texas passed away on January 23, 2009. She was born April 24, 1915 to Bonnie Belle (Howard) and Sylva Ray Ballew in Sabinal, Texas. On September 26, 1931 she married Troy Othal Vest in Durant, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker. Laveria is survived by her children, Othal Ervin Vest and wife, Lonita of Dorchester, Texas, Doris Lanell Holiman and husband, Doyle of Frisco, Texas, Ida Gerldean Norris and husband, Bobby of Grapevine, Texas, Dennis Max Vest and wife, Jerre of Celina, Texas, Delbert Wayne Vest and wife, Shirley of Denison, TX, Lynda Humbarger of Celina, Texas, Katherine Louise Rasor and husband, Johnny of Gunter, Texas, Charlotte Jeanette DuPree and husband, Gary of Irving, Texas, Rita Kay Holbrook and husband, Mike of Bowie, Texas, Donald Lynn Vest and wife, Julie of Propser, Texas; twenty-eight grandchildren; forty-seven great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; brothers, Roy Ballew and Wayne Ballew; sisters, Olene Phipps, Valdean McMichael, and Annie Tate. Laveria is preceded in death by her husband, Troy O. Vest; parents, Bonnie and Ray Ballew; brother, Artie Ballew; sisters, Leotta Jarvis, Leola Williams, and Burta Mugler; daughter-in-law, Donnie Jo Vest. A Funeral Service will be held at Rhea Mills Baptist Church in McKinney on Monday, January 26, 2009 at 10:300 AM with Pastor Delbert Vest and Pastor Anthony Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Collage Hill Cemetery in Celina. Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Sunday, January 25, 2009 at Rhea Mills Baptist Church to pay their respects and to sign the register book from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
