Mrs. Lauretta Vaughn, age 86, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on March 5, 2010. Lauretta was born in Hollis, Oklahoma on October 15, 1923. She married Gerard Henry Vaughn on August 31, 1946 in Lawton, Oklahoma. Lauretta worked for Nardis of Dallas, and later retired as an agent from White Heron Travel. She was an active member and former president of Altrusa Club of Downtown Dallas. She is survived by her husband Gerard, of McKinney; son, Charles Andrew Vaughn of Shady Shores, Texas; daughter, Carol Ann Stoner and husband David, of McKinney; grandchildren, Thomas Andrew Vaughn and wife Margaret, of San Antonio, Texas, Aaron David Stoner of Denton, Texas, and Ruth Anne Stoner of McKinney; great-grandchild, Noah Kenei Vaughn; and brother Frank Wylie Gear of Kerrville, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter-in-law, Brenda Joyce Vaughn, five brothers, and three sisters. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Monday, March 8, 2010, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, with Pastor Garland Beasley officiating. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Sunday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will also receive friends after the service, Sunday. Interment will be held at a later date at Dallas Forth Worth National Cemetery.
