Larry F. Rollins, of Alba, Texas passed away on January 8, 2011. Larry was born October 16, 1943, in Anna, Texas, to Grady and Myrtle (Jamison) Rollins. On October 2, 1982 he married Patt Park, in Anna, Texas. Larry was a member of Lake Fork Baptist Church in Alba, Texas. He was a veteran and proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Larry retired from the Garland Police Department after 27 years of service. He loved to fish, hunt, and was an avid bird watcher. Larry loved to help his friends and neighbors, and especially enjoyed teaching his grandchildren to fish. He is survived by his wife, Patt Rollins of Alba, Texas; children, Matt Rollins and wife Lindsey of Wylie, Texas, Buddy Park of Pottsboro, Texas, Lisa Grant and husband Gary of Cypress, Texas, Michelle Bookout and husband Randy of Richardson, Texas; grandchildren, Hunter Rollins, Brooke Rollins, Alexis Sturgeon, Aaron Grant, Jordyn Grant, Preston Sheffield, Halle Bookout, and Tyler Park; brothers, Grady Bob Rollins of Anna, Texas and Bill Rollins of Plainview, Texas; numerous other nephews and nieces. Larry was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Mike and Jerry Rollins. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2011, at 2:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow, Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Coffman Cemetery, in Anna, Texas. The family will receive friends at a visitation from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
