Larry David Mitchell, age 69, of Allen, Texas passed away August 24, 2008. He was born September 26, 1938 in Bells, Texas to Napoleon Marshall and Lura (Files) Mitchell. On November 17, 1997 he married Jimmie Alexander, in Dallas, Texas. Larry moved from Bells, Texas, to Colorado as a young man. He lived in Ardmore, Oklahoma before moving to Dallas. Larry traveled from coast to coast with various companies before working for Nunn Bush Shoes for 20 years as a sales representative. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a Shriner with Trinity Valley Lodge #1048. He was also a member of the Hella Shrine Temple. He is survived by his wife, Jimmie Mitchell of Allen, Texas; children, David Mitchell and wife, Anna of Atlanta, Georgia, Merle Mitchell and wife, Mary of Kemp, Texas, and Jeanie Alexander of Allen, Texas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Marshall Mitchell and wife, Florence of Orange County, California and a host of other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Napoleon and Lura Mitchell and brother, Marshall Wayne Mitchell. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 27, 2008, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August 28, 2008 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Tuesday evening beginning at 6:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas.
