Lance Wade Tennison, age 30, of Allen, Texas, passed away on October 19, 2015. He was born on February 28, 1985 in Amarillo, Texas to Steven and Denise (Gernentz) Tennison. On July 31, 2010, Lance married Haley Murphy in Houston, Texas. He was an avid fan of the University of Texas Longhorns.
He is survived by his wife Haley Tennison and daughters, Abigail and Caroline of Allen, Texas; parents Steve and Denise Tennison of McKinney, Texas; brother Michael Tennison and wife Ann Marie of McKinney, Texas; mother-in-law Deborah Murphy of Spring, Texas; father-in-law Phillip Murphy and wife Sharon of Keller, Texas; grandparents Mary Belle Gernentz of New Braunfels, Texas, Jack and Kathryn Tennison of Hurst, Texas, Gene and Vonnie Hengst of The Woodlands, Texas; sisters-in-law Kelly Horgan and husband Chris of Katy, Texas, Brittany Roberts and husband Ryan of Keller, Texas, Chelsey Murphy of The Woodlands, Texas and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and other loving family and friends.
Lance is preceded in death by his grandfather Clarence Gernentz; uncle Mike Gernentz; and grandparents Melvin and Bonnie Washer.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends during a visitation being held Friday evening, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
