Kenneth Wiley Lewis, age 85, of Frisco, Texas passed away on August 19, 2017. He was born October 12, 1931 in Batson, Texas to Julius C. and Delma Lee (Hunt) Lewis. On September 10, 1952, Kenneth married Leona Mae Jones in Conroe, Texas.
He is survived by the love of his life of 65 years, Leona Lewis of Frisco, Texas; children, Kendra Johnson and husband Benjamin of Prosper, Texas, Karen Houk and husband Monte of Tulalip, Washington, Randy Lewis and wife Sharla of Crane, Texas; grandchildren, Brandon Johnson and wife Laura, Erin Johnson, Jennifer Carter and husband Glenn, Whitney Sprague and husband David, Megan Rose and husband Alex, Kayla Jones and husband Sam; great-grandchildren, Dylan Sprague and Anya Rose; sister, Wanda Snell and husband Bill of Kennedy, Texas; sister-in-law, Katherine Lewis of Longbranch, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his brother, Carey Lewis; sister, Wilma Wiggins; and parents.
Ken loved the Lord and this showed in his sweet spirit. He faithfully served the church wherever he lived. Ken loved his family and took great pleasure in spending time with them. Quality outdoor family activities like going fishing, water skiing and camping always made him smile. Ken was very proud of his kids and grandkids in all that they achieved, he influenced each one of them in very special ways.
After retirement from the oil and gas Industry, working more than 30 years, Ken enjoyed their time traveling and seeing the country by RV. Ken was a very talented man that could build or fix anything. His greatest attribute was telling stories!
A Funeral Service will be held at First Baptist Church of Frisco, 7901 Main Street, Frisco, Texas 75034, on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 10:00 AM with visitation one hour prior to service time. Interment will follow at Ridgeview West Memorial Park, 7800 Sanctuary Drive, Frisco, Texas 75033.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Frisco General Missions Fund, 7901 Main Street, Frisco, Texas 75034.
