Kenneth Ray Taylor, age 78 of Allen, Texas, passed away August 9, 2014 in Allen. He was born January 6, 1936 to John Calvin and Myrtle Elizabeth (Worley) Taylor in Handley, Texas. While working for ARCO or Atlantic Richfield Oil and Gas now known as B.P. (British Petroluem) Kenneth invented the Cold Weather Coupling Device, which was patented by the United States August 17, 1982, he then invented the Case Cementing Method and System which was patented by the United States June 28, 1994. Kenneth married Billie Sue Wright January 20, 1990 in Grapevine, Texas.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sue Taylor of Allen, Texas; two sons, Paul Douglas Taylor and wife Schelle of Spring, Texas, and Brian Keith Taylor of Wylie, Texas; daughter, Karen Lee Sanders and husband Mike of Quinlan, Texas; two step-sons, Jonathan Erik Wright of Dallas, Texas and Kendal Alan Wright and wife Meilin of Frederick, Colorado; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two brothers, Howard Dale Taylor of Van Vleck, Texas and Jerry Wade Taylor and wife Brenda of Richland Hills, Texas.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and Sister-in-law, Hazel Irene Taylor.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. A remembrance gathering will be held Friday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
