Mr. Kenneth Alan Nowak, age 62, of McKinney, Texas passed away August 1, 2006 in McKinney. He was born December 22, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois to Bogdon and Irene (Wojciechowski) Nowak. On April 22, 1967 he married Ethel Julie Ward in Arlington Heights, IL. Mr. Nowak was president and owner of four Goodyear Stores in the area and owner of a boat storage at Lake Ray Roberts. He loved fishing and was the founder and President of the McKinney Bass Club. Mr. Nowak was a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in McKinney. He is survied by his wife E. J.; son Todd and his wife Jennifer and son Eric and his wife Roxanne, both of McKinney; grandchildren Hailey Nowak, Preston McCabe, Annabel McCabe, Benjamin McCabe and Curtis Nowak; sister Beverly and husband Steve Gaska of Buffalo Grove, IL; brother-in-law John Weidner and his wife Darcy of Maple Park, IL; nieces Karen Gaska of Buffalo Grove, IL, Susan Gaska of Elgin, IL and Kathy Weidner of Vernon Hills, IL; and nephew Michael Weidner. Preceding him in death were his parents and his sister, Janice A. Weidner. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, August 5, 2006, at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 608 Lamar, McKinney with the Reverend David K. Krause officiating. Entombment will follow at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 9:00 PM, Friday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held in the Chapel at 7:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter’s Episcopal Church Memorial Fund, 511 Foote St., McKinney TX 75069, or to The McKinney Bass Club.
