Kenneth Howard Brown, Jr.

Mar 14 1944 - Aug 06 2013

Kenneth Howard Brown, Jr., 69, of McKinney, Texas died on August 6, 2013 at Centennial Hospital in Frisco, Texas. He was born on March 14, 1944 to Margie and Kenneth Brown, Sr. in Jackson Heights, New York. Ken was born in 1944 and his timely birth saved his dad from being drafted into WWII. He grew up as a “city kid”, dodging cars in the street as he played ball with friends. He graduated from Bryant High School in Astoria, New York. Ken went to work at the Madison Avenue advertising agency, BBDO. Following that, he enrolled in the United States Air Force and after being stationed at Chanute AFB in Illinois he was sent to Vietnam. After Vietnam he was stationed at Homestead AFB in Florida. He trained in air communications which lead to a position with Delta Airlines in Miami, Florida. Ken met his wife, Eva in Miami where they were married on September 7, 1968 and raised their daughters Deborah and Karen. He retired from Delta after 30 plus years. Following his retirement from Delta, he drove a school bus for special needs children who loved “Mr. Ken!” One of his greatest joys in recent years has been spending time with his grandchildren.

Ken is survived by his wife, Eva of McKinney, TX; daughters, Deborah Claudio of Flower Mound, TX and Karen Warner and son in law, Ronald of Portage, MI; grandson, Adam Claudio of Dallas, Texas; granddaughter, Victoria Claudio of Flower Mound, TX; grandson, Nathanael Warner and granddaughter, Elizabeth Warner, both of Portage, MI; mother, Margie Brown of Charlottesville, VA; sister, Patricia Graham also of Charlottesville, VA; brother, Wayne Brown and sister in law, Christine Brown of Montgomery, MA; and many other loving family members and friends.
