Kelsey Nichole McCann, age 21, of Mesquite, Texas, passed away June 11, 2011, in Dallas, Texas. Kelsey was born November 30, 1989, in Rowlett, Texas, to James Howard and Jerrie Rae (Hisaw) McCann. She was a full time student and a member of Family Cathedral of Praise in Mesquite. Kelsey loved and trusted her Lord, Jesus Christ, until the end of her short life. She is survived by her father, James McCann of Tennessee; mother, Jerrie McCann and Steve Robbinet of Mesquite, Texas; brothers, Jordan McCann of Ft. Worth, Texas and Justin Heath and wife, Vicki of Columbia, Maryland; grandmother, Carol O’Connell; grandmother, Rennie McCann of Virginia; grandfather, Jerry McCann of Kingsport, Tennessee; aunt, Rita Hisaw; uncles, Perry Hisaw and wife, Sue, David Stepp and wife, Tanya; Shayne Stepp and wife, Cari, and Patrick O’Connell and wife Alma; beloved cousin, Tessa; great-great uncle, Pat Stone and wife, Linda; boyfriend, Matt Feenstra; also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins too numerous to mention; and many friends who loved her. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, John O’Connell and great-grandmother, Bonnie Frazier. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 18, 2011, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday evening at the funeral home. The family suggests that everyone wear bright colors in honor of Kelsey.
