Keith “Marty” Durfey, age 50, of Allen, Texas, passed away August 15, 2007, in Allen. He was born March 15, 1957, in Toledo, Ohio, to Edwin and Nancie (Marlow) Durfey. Marty was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother. He was an avid sportsman who played softball for twenty-two years, loved fishing, NASCAR races, and rooting for the Oakland Raiders. He was a huge rock and roll fan. On November 17, 1995, he married Leticia Sanchez in Toledo, Ohio. Marty was a pump station operator for the City of Allen and was of the Methodist faith. He is survived by his wife, Leticia; son, Marty and his fiance Heidi of Toledo, Ohio; daughter, Roxanne Durfey and her fiance Josh of Toledo; stepson, Richardo Angelo Pope and his finace Sue of Toledo; grandchildren, Natalie Nichole, Torie, Eddie, Angelo Jr. and Ariana; two grandchildren yet to be born; parents, Nancie and Edwin “Keetsie” Durfey of Toledo; sister, Cindy Dudley and her husband Bill of Toledo; aunt, Jackie Wilson of Toledo; and numerous other loving realtives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, August 20, 2007, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Danny Buster officiating. The family will receive friends during visitation at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon beginning at 3:00 PM.
