Kay Marie (Pflumm) Dobbs, 80, of Plano, Texas died peacefully in the presence of her loving family on October 23, 2015. She was born May 6, 1935, in Shawnee, Kansas, to Frank and Catherine Pflumm. While attending the University of Kansas, she met her beloved Dallas Eugene Dobbs, whom she married on August 11, 1956, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Parish. Dallas and Kay enjoyed traveling abroad and spending time with their friends during their nearly 60 years of marriage. Kay raised three children, and she took great pleasure and pride in her family. She also enjoyed playing bridge, hosting friends and family at home, and making every holiday special. Kay created a home filled with the antiques she loved to shop for and treasures she fancied. She followed her Faith, and was a member of St. Mark’s the Evangelist Catholic Church in Plano, Texas. Kay was a beautiful woman who had immense love for life and everyone who filled her life. She will be missed deeply, forever.
Kay was survived by her husband Dallas, children of whom she was so proud, Dallas Jeffrey (Annika Bergum) of Plano, TX; David Grant of Plano, TX and Katherine Dianne (Mary Ann Justice) of Appleton, WI; and lovely grandchildren, Amanda, Peyton, Katie and Andrew.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Frank Pflumm and sisters, Shirley Kuklenski and Jean Pechar.
A visitation will be at 9:00 a.m., October 31, 2015, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Parish, 11311 Johnson Dr., Shawnee, KS, with communion Mass at 10:00 a.m. A reception will follow the internment at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.
