Kathy Viola Parr, age 55, of Garland, Texas, passed away December 27, 2012, in Garland. Kathy was born July 30, 1957, in Decatur, Texas, to David Edison and Dora Grace (Romine) Neal. She married Richard Parr on May 27, 1977, in Garland, Texas. Kathy grew up in Rhome, Texas and Garland, Texas, where she graduated from Garland High School in 1975. She was a purchasing assistant for Ecolab for thirty-six years. Kathy enjoyed spending time with her grandkids.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Parr of Garland, Texas; daughters, Jennifer Cortez and husband, Jorge of Garland, Texas and Monica Juarez and husband, Anthony, Jr. of Baytown, Texas; son, Richard Joseph Parr of Garland, Texas; grandchildren, Olivia Mae Cortez and Anthony Quintin Juarez, III; parents, David and Grace Neal of Garland, Texas; sisters Debbie Odom and husband, Joe of Poetry, Texas, Lucy Neal of Garland, Texas, and Cindy Thomas and husband, Paul also of Garland; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 31, 2012, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Stoney Point Cemetery in Melissa, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m., Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.
