Katharine Maude Law

Katharine Maude Law of Allen, Texas passed away November 23, 2013 at the age of 98. She was born July 24, 1915 to William J. King and Myrtle (Hunt) in Tye, Texas. Katharine grew up in Abilene, Texas. She married Charles Robert “Bob” Law on December 21, 1941 in Anson, Texas. She worked for Attorney Homer Davis for over 30 years. Katharine was an avid reader, she enjoyed crocheting and knitting. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Social Order of Beauceant and the Rainbow Girls where she held various positions in all three clubs. Katharine was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Allen, Texas where she was active in the Fidelis Sunday School Class.  

Katharine is survived by her sons, Charles Law and wife, Diane of Allen, Texas and James Law and wife, Gail of Pasadena, Texas; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sister, Dorothy Pashman of Youngstown, New York; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Bob” Law; parents, William and Myrtle King; four brothers; and one sister. 

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. The graveside service will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Monday to pay respects and to sign the register book.
