IN LOVING MEMORY

Karen Webb Edwards Mitzner

Jul 03 1954 - Dec 06 2011

Karen was blessed with two loving sons, Clark Printis Mitzner, a graduate of the University of Houston and Thomas Runyan Mitzner, a senior at the University of Mississippi. In addition to her sons, she is survived by her father, Ken Edwards and his wife Kaye of Indian Wells, California. Karen was born July 3, 1954, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Ken and Patricia (Callahan) Edwards and she left this earth on December 6, 2011. She was a 1976 graduate of the University of Oklahoma, where she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. She was a Senior Vice President of Hexter-Fair Title Company where she worked for 25 years, first in Dallas and most recently in McKinney. She is a member of First United Methodist Church in McKinney, but was a longtime member of Highland Park United Methodist Church in Dallas. Karen was an avid sports fan and tireless supporter of her sons' love for golf and baseball. She is a graduate of the McKinney Citizens Police Academy and the CCDA Citizens Prosecutor Academy and a founding member of the COWW. She was a lifelong Republican, a member of the NRA and proudly carried her CHL. Her syndicated "Crazy Aunt Karen" broadcast on ABC Radio kept us entertained weekly with her unique ability to make us laugh while telling us like it is! She will be remembered for her integrity, her kind heart, her honesty, her generosity, her incredible sense of humor and her dedication to her family and friends. Her memory will live forever with those of us she touched so deeply. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 9, 2011, at 2:00 p.m., at First United Methodist Church of McKinney. In lieu of donations, please send flowers.
