Kams Liu

Kams Liu, age 75, of Plano, Texas, passed away May 22, 2011 in Plano, Texas. He was born on February 14, 1936, in China, to Xi Ge and Xu Mon (Li) Liu. Kams married his wife, Cindy Ng Liu on August 31, 1959, in China. He was raised in China where he attended school; after graduating from college, he became a high school physics teacher. On March 15, 1981, he and his family moved to the United States where he began to work at a family restaurant. Kams was a crafty handyman, and enjoyed woodworking. He is survived by his wife, Cindy Liu of Plano, Texas; sons, Thomas Liu and wife Cynthia, and Bruce Liu and wife Eve, all of Plano, Texas; daughter, Lisa Tang and husband John of Plano, Texas; nine grandchildren, Christopher Hurley, Samantha Liu, Christina Liu, Conner Liu, Triston Liu, Avery Liu, Joshua Liu, Aaron Tang, and Heather Tang; and sister, Lan Hao Liu of China. Kams was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2011, at 10:00 a.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Friday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
