Judy Derenda “Dee” Rogers of Fairview, Texas, passed away on June 24, 2013 at the age of 60. She was born April 15, 1953, in Port Arthur, Texas, to Edward and Judy (Sehon) Fontenot. On January 19, 1974, Dee married Michael D. Rogers, in Port Neches, Texas. Dee worked in various administrative positions as she followed her husband’s career with the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission. She was a very active resident in the Heritage Ranch Community; and also actively involved in the Allen Community Outreach. Dee was an avid golfer; she enjoyed traveling, especially her “Golf and Gambling trips”.
She is survived by her husband, Mike Rogers of Fairview, Texas; children, Kelli Ann Norgaard and husband Mads of Bryan, Texas, Jennifer Dee Ryan and husband Steven of Crested Butte, Colorado; grandchildren, Jessica Dee Plaxco and fiancé Jeff Wells, Michael Coleman Ryan and Campbell Lynne Ryan; great-grandchild, Corrie Ann Wells; brother Edward Fontenot and wife Maria of Nederland, Texas; and sister, Barbara Davis of Port Neches, Texas.
Dee is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Judy Fontenot and sister, Beverly Barnett.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 28, 2013, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, in Allen, Texas.
