Judy Elizabeth Pumpelly of Plano, Texas passed away June 21, 2014, at the age of 69. She was born January 28, 1945, to William Taylor Dungan and Lena Pearl (Nichols) Dungan in McKinney, Texas. Judy grew up in McKinney and was a 1962 graduate of McKinney High School. She married Robert “Bob” Pumpelly on November 29, 1986, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Judy owned and operated JR’s Carpet Company for fifteen years. She was a certified yoga instructor. Judy enjoyed gardening and upholstery work.
She is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Pumpelly, Plano, Texas; children, Kevin Ledbetter of McKinney, Texas, Steven Bower Riddle and wife Amy of Cincinnati, Ohio, Denise Bleggi and husband, Steven of Frisco, Texas, and David Pumpelly and wife Dawn of Huntsville, Alabama; grandchildren, Austin Riddle, Sarah Riddle, Michaela Bleggi and Andrew Pumpelly; sister, Carol Woods of Waco, Texas; brother, Mickey Dungan and wife Dianna of Plano, Texas; and a host of other loving family and friends.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Pearl Dungan; brother, Bill Dungan, and sister, JoAnn Crawley.
A memorial service will be held 4:00 p.m., Saturday, June 28, 2014, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Wednesday evening June 25, 2014, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
