Judith Marie Maddux, age 66, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on November 1, 2011. She was born May 18, 1945, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Donald Dean and Ruby (Rector) Malchi. On March 9, 1978, Judith married David Eugene Maddux in Tyler, Texas. She grew up in Miami, Oklahoma, where she graduated high school; Judith graduated with a bachelor degree in music from Oklahoma State University. She went back to school in 1983 at Harrisburg Community College in Pennsylvania, where she studied computer technology. Judith worked for FEDEX as an I.T. Professional beginning in 1984 in Memphis, Tennessee and retired in 2004. Her hobbies include oil painting, sewing, and decorating; she was also an incredible musician both with singing and playing the piano. Judith attended Family Worship Center, in McKinney, Texas. She is survived by her husband, David Maddux of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Ruth Wolf and husband Lawrence of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Tiffany Ross and husband Rich, Tyler Wolf, Hannah Wolf, and Grace Wolf; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Preston, and Alexis Ross; brother, Donald Dean Malchi and Robin Wooding of Wolcott, Connecticut; several nieces, nephews, and a host of other loving family and friends. Judith is preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Jarol Dean Hembree. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 4, 2011, at 1:00 p.m., at Family Worship Center, 5780 Virginia Parkway, McKinney, Texas, with Pastor Charlie Tuttle and Rev. Tom Maddux officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday evening, beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow.
