Judith Raye Chapman

Judith “Judy” Raye Chapman, age 75, of Anna, Texas, passed away December 16, 2016.  Judy was born September 14, 1941, in Philpot, Kentucky, to Otis Layton and Willie (Sullivan) Leonard.  She married Clyde Homer “C.H.” Chapman on February 1, 1963 in Shawneetown, Illinois.  Judy was an administrative assistant for a number of companies in the Plano and McKinney area.  She was a member of the Assembly of God faith and attended First United Methodist Church in Anna.  Upon retiring, Judy and C. H. moved to Lake Charles, Louisiana. 
 
She is survived by her daughter, Julaine Piatt and husband Eric of Lake Charles, Louisiana; son, Ty Chapman and wife, Sandra of Anna, Texas; grandchildren, Ty Wesley Chapman, Leslie Chapman, Ashley Guidry, Whittany Ricketts, Madelaine Piatt, and Mallory Piatt; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Regina Keller of Richmond, Kentucky, sister-in-law Peggy Overfield of Van Alstyne, cousin Rodney VanHoose and wife Jan of Mckinney, great aunt Christine VanHoose of Mckinney, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Donald Leonard and Jimmy Leonard, and sister Madlyn Williamson.
 
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas.  Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen.  The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
