Juanita Howard, age 69, of Van Alstyne, Texas, passed away August 14, 2015. Juanita was born July 22, 1946, in McKinney, Texas, to Thomas and Jessie (Howard) Bowen. She was the valedictorian of her senior class in Sherman, Texas. Juanita graduated from Texas Women’s University with a bachelor degree in nursing. She worked for over thirty years at Collin Memorial Hospital which is now Medical Center of McKinney. Juanita was a member of Samaria Baptist Church in Van Alstyne.
She is survived by her brother, Charles Bowen of Garland, Texas, nephew, Carl Howard of Dallas, Texas and Justyn Royal of Plano, Texas, who was just like a son to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Annie Everett and Anita Royal.
A graveside inurnment service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 21, 2015, at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas.
