Funeral services for Joyce Laverne Mulkey Milton, 91 year old Celeste resident, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday May 7, 2009 at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard. A.C. Quinn and Charles Wrenn will officiate. Burial will be in the Hogeye/Celeste Cemetery. Family Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday May 6th at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard. Mrs. Milton was born August 12, 1917. Her parents were Charlie C. and Myrtle Hudson Mulkey. She married Solon Milton September 11, 1937 at Celeste, Texas. She was a member of the Celeste Church of Christ and the Red Hat Club. She passed away Monday May 4th at the Presbyterian Hospital of Denton. She is survived by her sons: Doug Milton and wife Sue of Celeste and Jimmy Milton of the Phillipines; her brothers: Marvin Mulkey of Ft. Myers, Florida, Harold Mulkey of Arlington, Bobby Mulkey of Greenville, and Neil Mulkey of Irving; her sisters: Juanita Johnson of Farmersville and Dorothy Hale of Greenville; her sister-in-law & brother-in-law: Fay & Preston Reynolds of Sherman.. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1999, her parents, one brother, Charles Mulkey, one sister, Thelma Jean Mulkey, a granddaughter and a grandson. Pallbearers will be James Milton, Tim Giles, Phil Barker, Wiley Easley, Roger Claxton and Jeff Babers.
