Joy Burchett, age 54, of Garland, Texas, passed away February 14, 2012, in Dallas, Texas. Joy was born January 25, 1958, in McKinney, Texas, to Robert and Dorothy (Hardin) Burchett. She was a librarian. Joy was a graduate of South Garland High School and then attended Eastfield College and Texas A & M University in Commerce. She was an avid walker, walking in many charitable events. Joy especially loved nature walks. She also loved dog sitting for her friends and family.
She is survived by her parents, Robert and Dorothy Burchett of Garland, Texas; brother, Danny Burchett (aka Danny Adams KKGM); and numerous other loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 17, 2012, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas with Rev. Keith Green officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday evening at the funeral home.
