Joshua David Pollock

Joshua David Pollock, age 21, of Frisco, Texas passed away on March 21, 2009 in Austin, Texas. He was born on January 16, 1988 in Washington Court House, Ohio to John David and Ruby Ann (Huddleston) Pollock. Joshua was a Cavalry Scout in the United States Army. Joshua was a member of the Texas National Guard. He was a veteran of the Operation Iraqi Freedom campaign, serving from May 2007 to May 2008. He was currently on active duty with the United States Army, and was training soldiers at Camp Swift in Bastrop, Texas in preparation for their deployment to the Middle East. Joshua was slated to be deployed to Afghanistan in October 2009. During his tenure in the United States Army Joshua had achieved the rank of Sergeant and was operating in that capacity at the time of his death. Joshua was a 2006 graduate of Frisco High School in Frisco, Texas. He also attended Texas A&M University in Commerce, Texas and Lincoln Technical Institute in Grand Prairie, Texas. Joshua was a member of the Trail to Heaven Cowboy Church in Celina, Texas where he was baptized in May of 2007 and accepted Jesus Christ into his life. He is survived by his parents, Brian and Ruby Lane of Frisco, Texas; brother, Jacob Lane of Frisco, Texas; step-brother, Joshua Lane of Spring Hill, Tennessee; grandparents, Donald and Virginia Pollock, Richard and Bonnie Snodgrass, Leon and Janice Lane, and Jack and Theresa Huddleston; several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends, including Aunt JoAnn Pollock, Aunt Vickie Lyons, Uncle Gene Pollock, and special friends Jennifer Johnston, J.D. Randall, David Adams, and Juliano Villani. Visitation will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 8520 Main St, Frisco, Texas on Friday March 27, 2009 from 6:30-8:30 PM. Funeral Services will be performed by Pastor Kevin Landis at First Baptist Church, 841 N. Preston Rd. Celina, Texas 75009 on Saturday March 28, 2009 at 11:30 AM, with interment to follow at Ridgeview West Memorial Park in Frisco, Texas. The family will host a luncheon at the Fairy Tale Manor 10865 Preston Rd. Frisco, Texas from 2:30-4:00 PM All are welcome and encouraged to attend to celebrate Joshua’s life.
