Joseph Arlin Skinner

Graveside Services for Joseph Arlin Skinner, 93 year old Trenton resident, are scheduled for 10 A.M. Thursday June 12, 2014 at the Burns Cemetery at Trenton. Oran Rhodes will officiate. Family visitation will be Wednesday June 11, 2014 from 6 until 8 P.M. at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard.

Mr. Skinner was born August 24, 1920 at Blue Ridge, Texas. His parents were Joseph Leon and Emily Alma McDowell Skinner. He married Oleta May Mullican June 12, 1943 at Van Alstyne, Texas. He worked as a farmer and cattle raiser and a machine operator in the parts manufacturing business. He retired from Harwicke Etter in Sherman. He was a member of the Trenton church of Christ. He passed away Tuesday June 10, 2014 at the Texoma Medical Center at Denison.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: Randy and Sandra Skinner of Van Alstyne; Granddaughter and husband: Jenifer and Eric Cunningham of Waxahachie; Grandson and wife: Jeff and Tessi Skinner of Van Alstyne; great-grandchildren: Ryder, Bryna and Bradley Skinner of Van Alstyne and Evie and Cade Cunningham of Waxahachie; his sisters: Dorothy Cox of Dallas and Juanita Bartlett of Trenton. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter: Sharron Skinner; brothers: Virgil, Billy Joe, Travis and Mack Skinner; sisters: Faye Red, Jody Durleau, Edith Stephens and Shirley Anderson.
