Mr. Joseph E. Rovi, age 74, of The Colony, Texas passed away January 29, 2004, in Carrollton, Texas. He was born June 6, 1929, in Blandford, Indiana to Joseph and Mary (Palanchar) Rovi. On August 7, 1954, he married Genevieve F. Gregorich in East Chicago, Indiana. Mr. Rovi served in the Army. He was a Millwright at LTV Steel Mill in East Chicago, Indiana. He was also a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church in The Colony. He is survived by his wife, Genevieve F. Rovi of The Colony; daughters, Cynthia Phelps and husband, Bill of The Colony, Susan Bermingham and husband, Michael of Richardson, Texas, Nancy Brnicky and husband, John of Hobart, Indiana, and Stephanie Gassner and husband, John of The Colony; sons, Joseph Rovi and wife, Lori of The Colony, John Rovi and wife, Theresa of Plano, Texas, Steven Rovi of The Colony, David Rovi of Garland, Texas, and Michael Rovi and wife, Lynda of Murphy, Texas; and 14 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, February 2, 2004, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Father Publius Xuereb officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Sunday, with a rosary service at 7:00 p.m., at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
