Joseph Elias Eisler

Joseph Elias Eisler, age 85 of Allen, Texas went to be with the Lord on June 1, 2009. Joe was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 5, 1923, the third of three children born to Otto and Anna Klaszynski Eisler. For most of his early career, Joe was in advertising. While working at the Houston Chronicle, he met his future wife, Isabell Loughmiller. They were married in March 1950 at St. Paul’s Methodist Church in Houston, and had two sons; Kevin Andrew (Andy), and James Owen (Chip) Eisler. Joe’s career would take him from Houston to Chicago, Illinois, and then to Austin Texas, and back to the Chicago area again. In 1973, the family moved to Parsons, Kansas and Joe left the advertising business to form Joe Eisler & Associates (JE&A), a successful sales representation organization specializing in the marketing and sales of endoscopic surgical technologies. In 1974, Joe and Isabell acquired an old-time general store, on Historic Rte.-66, (now known as Eisler Bros. Old Riverton Store) located in Riverton, Kansas. They eventually moved to Allen, Texas in 1977, where they lived out their lives. Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Isabell Loughmiller Eisler; his parents, Otto and Anna Eisler; and two brothers, Edward and David Eisler. He is survived by his two sons, Kevin Andrew (Andy) Eisler and wife Kathy of Plano, Texas, and James Owen Eisler and wife Joyce of Sugar Land, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Sunday, June 7, 2009 Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
