Jon Francis Kovach, age 29 of Blue Ridge, Texas passed away November 1, 2014 in Blue Ridge. Born March 2, 1985, in Dallas, Texas, to parents Jon Francis and Karen Louise (Horner) Kovach, III, Jon embraced life to the fullest. His son Jaden Francis Kovach was the light of his life. He loved his family and his friends, and his little ranch in Blue Ridge was the hub that brought everyone together. He was a gifted auto technician and rancher. He was an avid Steelers fan, loved his country, and always had a project going. Jon also spent many weekends riding RZR’s, camping and hanging out with friends and meeting new people. Jon was generous and kind, always putting other people first. He never met a stranger, welcoming them into his world making lifelong friends.

Beside parents and son, Jon is survived by his brother, Todd Jeremy Kovach of The Colony, TX; Jaden’s mother Heather Kay Harr of Anna, TX; girlfriend Kourtnay “KoKo” Ogden of Randolph, TX; aunt, Michelle Freeman of Sterling, VA; cousins Stuart and Madison (Nease) Freeman of Charles Town, WV; Channing Freeman of Great Falls, VA; uncle, Jeff and Pam (Berg) Horner of Denton, TX, cousins, Joshua and Courtnie (Flynn) Horner and their children Brynlie and Benjamin of Boise, ID and Tyler Horner of Denton, TX; beloved grandmothers Beverly Dankert of Denton, TX, and Nancy (Gary) Horner of Lewisburg, PA.

Jon was preceded in death by grandfathers Floyd “Pete” Horner of Johnstown, PA, and Jon Francis Kovach II, of Mundys Corner, PA.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, November 5, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, TX.

A trust for Jon’s son Jaden has been established. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be sent to the Jaden Francis Kovach Trust, P.O. Box 560153, The Colony, TX 75056-0153.
