John Henry Ward, Jr. age 51 of Cedar Park, Texas passed away January 18, 2015 in Cedar Park, Texas. He was born June 1, 1963 to John Henry and Karen (Andrews) Ward, Sr. in Tulsa, Oklahoma. John attended Putnam City North High School in Oklahoma City. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma City University in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. John was Godfather to many children. He was a lifelong Pittsburg Steelers fan. John was loved by all and will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his mother, Karen Head and husband Terry of Fairview, Texas; father, John Henry Ward, Sr. of Ponca City, Oklahoma; brother, Ed Burton and wife Cleide of Sterling, Virginia; sister, Veronica Lemoine of Phoenix, Arizona; brother, Jason Head and wife Christina of Frisco, Texas; sister, Kristi Head of Lewisville, Texas; nieces, Vitoria Burton and Jaina Head; nephews, Alex Head, Tyler Dooley and Austin Dooley.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Blanca Mireles-Ward.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 315 North Church Street, McKinney, Texas 75069.
