John Shelley Tartaro, age 81, of Garland, Texas, passed away April 13, 2013, in Richardson, Texas. John was born July 25, 1931, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, to Domenic and Frances (Amante) Tartaro. He was a spiritual seeker and teacher of “A Course of Miracles”. John was a lover of the written and spoken word. He never missed an opportunity to enlist a friend and find beauty in that person.
He is survived by his children, Marc Tartaro of Hyattsville, Maryland; Jessica Tartaro of Austin, Texas, Lisa Potraza and husband, Kyle of Richardson, Texas, Jack Tartaro and wife, Shantell of Dallas, Texas, and Michael Tartaro and wife, Melissa of Allen, Texas; and grandchildren, Nicholas, Julia, Taylor, Caitlyn, Ella, Gianna, Marybella Lola, Isabella, and Sicilia.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Penny Tartaro and parents, Dominic and Frances Tartaro.
