John Wayne Shehane, age 76, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on November 15, 2015. He was born October 12, 1939 in Dallas, Texas to Richard and Mary (Rasberry) Shehane. On July 31, 1992, John married Peggy Sue Adams in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. John graduated from Northwestern University in Wichita Falls, Texas. He worked for Action Company as an accountant for 44 years. John enjoyed fishing, camping and square dancing. He loved his family.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Shehane of McKinney, Texas; children, Randall Fraser and wife Ann Marie of Rusk, Texas, Tiffany Fraser of Frisco, Texas and Kendall Fraser of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Craig, Adam, Colten, Cameron, Keaton, Kyle and Cody; great-grandchild, Stormer Lee; like-a-daughter, Carol Hale; like-a-grandchild, Cassie Johnson; cousins, Carolyn Emeric, Jerry Weldon, Jimmie Shehane, Phyllis Weldon, Barbara Jean Weldon and Jerry Shehane; many loving friends and co-workers.
John is preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
A graveside service will be held at 2:15 p.m., Monday, November 23, 2015 at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation being held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
