John Joseph Santi, age 90, of Plano, Texas, passed away April 20, 2008, in Plano. John was born January 12, 1918, in New York City, New York, to Anthony and Ann Santi. He was married to Ruth Childs for twenty-eight years and later married Catherine Bowteck to whom he was married twenty-five years. John was a Parks and Recreation foreman. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. He is survived by his daughters, Margie Peri of Wylie, Texas and Theresa Santi of LaMesa, California; grandchildren, Andrew Peri, Maggie Sagiao, Vito Peri, Jr., Ruth van de Watering, Richard Osorio, and Rose McNatt; sixteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Ann Santi, wife, Catherine, one brother, two sisters, and son-in-law, Vito Peri. A funeral mass will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas with Deacon Ron Fejeran officiating. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 12:00-2:00 PM prior to the service.
