Mr. John Eric Rees, age 43, of McKinney, Texas, passed away December 3, 2010. He was born October 4, 1967, in Quincy, Illinois to Richard and Elisa Claudia (Williams) Rees. John was a graduate of St. Mary’s School in Natchitoches, Louisiana and was also an Eagle Scout. He was a graduate of Northwestern State University in Louisiana, and later attended the University of Malta as an exchange student. John received an MBA from the University of Dallas. For most of his professional career, John worked at Hewlett-Packard as an information analyst. He was an active member of St. Gabriel’s Catholic Community Church, in McKinney. John was known for his love and devotion for his family. He was a beloved son, brother and uncle. He is survived by his parents, Richard and Claudia Rees of McKinney; siblings, Phillip Rees and wife, Megan of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Renee Robicheaux and husband, Kirk of Plano, Texas, Patrick Rees and wife, Christine of Fairview, Texas and Keith Rees and wife, Jessica of Austin, Texas; nieces and nephews, Mary Kate Rees (whom is also his God-daughter), Charles Rees, Laura Robicheaux, Stephen Robicheaux, Emily Robicheaux, Michael Rees and Isabella Rees. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Williams and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rees. A Mass of Catholic burial will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 9, 2010, at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Community Church in McKinney, with Fr. Don Zeiler officiating. A rosary service will be held 6:00 p.m., Wednesday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, with a visitation following.
