Mr. John C. McCrimmon, age 83, of McKinney, Texas, passed away December 25, 2004, in McKinney. He was born October 7, 1921, in Durham, North Carolina, to Hugh Archibald and Alice Laura McCrimmon. On October 12, 1945, he was married to Eileen Smith in Pensacola, Florida. The two remained married for 57 years, until her death in April, 2003. Mr. McCrimmon was retired United States Navy where he proudly served his country for 20 years. He later retired from the United States Post Office in September, 1978. Mr. McCrimmon was a long-standing member of Parkway Baptist Church in Minden, Louisiana. He is survived by his children, Stephen (Mike) McCrimmon of Longmont, Colorado, Sherry Lynn Buchanan and husband, Danny of Lufkin, Texas, John Alan McCrimmon and wife, Mary Ann of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Susan Stell and husband, Rodney of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, John Austin McCrimmon and Matthew Tyler McCrimmon, both of Edmond, Oklahoma, Amy Lynn Stell and Laura Elizabeth Stell, both of McKinney, Texas; brothers-in-law, Charles Malcolm Smith and wife, Louise of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Norman E. Smith of Gulfport, Mississippi; brother, Hugh Archibald McCrimmon of Winter Haven, Florida; and sister, Wilma Laura Seward of Laurens, South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M., December 29, 2004, at DFW National Cemetery with Rev. Randy Morlan officiating. Mr. McCrimmon will lie in state from 12 Noon, Tuesday, until 8:00 A.M., Wednesday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
