John Gary Holt

May 20 1967 - Mar 19 2014

On Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at 3 p.m. a great man went to the Lord in peace. John Gary Holt was born on May 20, 1967 in Dallas, Texas to parents Gary and Linda. He graduated Anna High   School in 1985 and went on to join the army in October, 1988. John served his country honorably in Germany as a helicopter mechanic and was discharged from the service in 1992. He was a jack of all trades and a master of none.

There were none who could match his dedication and love for his Dallas Cowboys. He often said that he bled Cowboy blue and he lived the life to prove it. John spent his last 16 years living in Trenton with his wife, Kay. They spend most of their time at home but loved to travel the U.S. A memorial service for John will be held 11:00am, Saturday March 22, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church of Trenton. Father Gabe Smith and Rev. Kathy McLean-Davis will officiate.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Railey, his brothers, Michael and Robert Holt, and his daughter, Nikki Holt.

He is survived by his wife: Kay Haden Holt of Trenton; his father: Gary Holt of Port St. Lucie, Florida; his grandmother: Zela Holt of Kemp, TX; his sons and daughters-in-law: John & Troi Holt of Hickory Creek, TX, Chris & Cathy Haden of Trenton, TX, and Wesley & Holly Haden of Crowley, TX; His daughter and son-in-law: Brandy & Josh Cook of Wichita, Kansas; his sister-in-law: Marnita Holt of Melissa, TX; his brothers: David Holt of Ft. Worth, TX and Jack Mitchell of Newland, North Carolina. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, numerous cousins, nieces, a great nephew and two great nieces.
