John Lee Graves, age 69, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on February 10, 2014. He was born in Nowata, Oklahoma, on February 11, 1944, to William and Mamie (Hensley) Graves. John worked at Great Plains Coca-Cola Bottling Company, where he retired as General Manager after 26 years of service. He was active in the Ardmore Rotary Club and was of the Methodist faith.
He is survived by his children, Stefanie Kelly and husband Rick of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Stacy Cate and husband Brandon of McKinney, Texas, Bill Graves and wife Jenny of Rowlett, Texas; grandchildren, Sarah and Elizabeth Kelly of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Audrey and Carley Cate of McKinney, Texas, Emma and Liam Graves of Rowlett, Texas; brother, Hubert Graves of Nowata, Oklahoma; and a host of other loving family and friends.
John is preceded in death by his parents, William and Mamie Graves; sisters, Kathryn Lay, Betty Hendricks and Shirley Wiley; brothers, J.R. Graves and Don Graves.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 1, 2014, at The Glass Mansion, 324 W. Delaware Street, Nowata, Oklahoma.
