John Roy Belasco

John (Jack) Roy Belasco, age 82 of Frisco/Plano, Texas passed away on April 13, 2013.  He was born on October 1, 1930 in Manhattan, New York to Odeta (Roy) and John Belasco.  John, who served in both The US Navy (enlisted) and The US Army as a Colonel, was a Military Dentist and Commander of the Dental Corp. 

John gave his talents and gifts to friends around the US and the globe. He served in Alabama, California, Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Texas and Germany. He was Board Certified by the U.S. Army, State of Connecticut and Massachusetts, and the National Board of Dental Examiners. John led the battle against Parkinson disease for over 24 years; utilizing all methods to cure the illness for others.  

John is survived by his two children, Wendy Stewart and her husband, Wayne of McKinney, Texas, Jay Belasco and his wife, Charlotte of San Diego, California; former wife, Joanarden Clark Vesta of Tucson, Arizona; four grandchildren, Jordann Stewart Davis, Jaron Stewart, Lara Belasco and Brad Belasco; sister, Arlene Downs and her husband, Jim of Torrington, Connecticut; two nieces, Denee’ Longley and Keri Taylor Hoffer; two nephews, Jim Downs and Rob Garafalo. 

John is preceded in death by his parents. 

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2013, 11:00 AM at the DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas with Chaplain Karlan Fairchild officiating. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Frisco from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM.
