Joel Buccy, age 57, of McKinney, Texas passed away March 15, 2012. He was born December 28, 1954 in Sherman, Texas to John S. Buccy and Ruth (Harris) Buccy. On October 19, 1991 he married Melissa Gore in Dallas, Texas. Joel graduated from the University of Texas in 1977. He was the CEO of LSC Consulting. Joel was a Deacon at Prestonwood Baptist Church. His hobbies included scuba diving, motorcycles, water skiing, and dove hunting. He enjoyed entertaining. Joel liked traveling to the Bahamas. He has a passion for training German Shepard’s and “Saber” was his favorite.
He is survived by his wife, Melissa Buccy of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Sawyer Buccy of McKinney, Texas; son, Cameron Buccy of McKinney, Texas; sisters, Joan Ward and husband, Jim of Wylie, Texas, Jill Reneau and husband, Wayne of Sulpher Springs, Texas; mother and father-in-law, Dawn and Jerry Gore of Plano, Texas and numerous other loving relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruth Buccy; sister, Jean Marie Buccy and brother, Jack Buccy.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at Prestonwood Baptist Church with Pastor Neal Jeffrey officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Tuesday evening from 6:00-9:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas.
