Joe Dennis Jeter, age 63, of Richardson, Texas passed away on May 4, 2009. He was born on August 1, 1945 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Joe Dee and Clara Kellogg Jeter. Joe attended schools in Oklahoma and graduated from University of Oklahoma. On June 29, 1968 he married Diane Schiefen in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Joe and Diane had their first child, Joseph in 1972 and soon after moved to Dallas. Joe served as Senior Vice President of Republic National Bank and later was employed at EDS in Plano. He currently worked for Jack Henry and Associates in Allen. Joe is a member of the First Christian Church of Plano. He loved his Oklahoma Sooners and most of all loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed fishing with his friends. Joe is survived by his wife, Diane Jeter, of Richardson, TX; son, Joseph Jeter, wife Carmen and grandchildren, Claire and Joseph, Jr., all of Parker, TX; sister, Barbara Clark and husband Jerry of Houston, TX; nephews, Kent Clark of Oklahoma City, OK and Kevin Clark of Wyoming. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Clara Jeter. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, May 8, 2009, at the First Christian Church of Plano.
