Joe E. Reiserer, Jr., 74, returned to his Heavenly home on May 19, 2017 after a valiant 9 year challenge with cancer that he confronted with grace and dignity. His devotion to his wife and family along with his easy going demeanor and positive attitude was unwavering and he brought joy to all he met.

Joe was born to the late Joseph and Agatha Reiserer. He had a passion for cars, fishing and golf. His drive led him to a successful 43 year IT career that began with Goodyear in 1965, he then spent several years with GM and retired from EDS.

On June 5, 1965, Joe married his soul mate, Jan. They enjoyed 51 years of marriage where they created an example for all to aspire to. They shared the passion for creating woodworking projects where Joe was able to use his extraordinary woodcraft skills.  Joe was a great father and helped raise his two children, Jenni and Juli with patience, discipline and humility.  He was also a fun, loving and supportive grandfather to his four grandchildren, Nikita, Joseph, Sydney and Hayley.  Joe is preceded in death by his sister Terry. 
 
A Remembrance Gathering will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
