Joan “Joanie” Pickarts of Plano, Texas passed away March 12, 2015, at Medical Center of Plano. She was born May 19, 1943, to James Johnson and Florence (Barker) Johnson in Madison. Wisconsin. On March 30, 1963 Joan married Bill Pickarts in Madison, Wisconsin. She treasured the time spent with her family and loved vacationing at their beach home in Indian Shores, Florida.
Joan is survived by her husband, Bill Pickarts; daughter, Lynn Gyarmathy and husband Stacey of Allen, Texas; son, Steve Pickarts and wife Kim of Houston, Texas; granddaughter, Kaylie Gyarmathy of Allen, Texas; grandsons, Tanner Gyarmathy of Allen, Texas and Jack Pickarts of Houston, Texas; sister, Phyllis Ziehr and husband Jim of Madison, Wisconsin; and numerous extended family and special friends.
A memorial service will be held 4:00 p.m., Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel in Allen, Texas with Rev. Rick Rigsby officiating.
