IN LOVING MEMORY

Joan Rose Hallock

Nov 28 1937 - Apr 11 2007

Joan Rose Hallock, of Salina, Kansas, was born November 28, 1937, in St. Paul, Minnesota to John and Lillian Kruse. She passed away, with family by her side, on April 11, 2007, in Frisco, Texas, at the young age of 69. She married LCDR James A. Hallock, Jr. USCG (Ret.) in Washington D.C. in 1967. He preceded her in death in 1974. She is survived by one son, Christopher Hallock and his wife Kim, of Frisco, Texas; two grandchildren, James and Ryan Hallock, of Frisco, Texas; one Sister, Carole Schmidt of Luray, Virginia; two nieces, Jill Marie Schmidt, of Annandale, Virginia, Leanne Donahue of Owings, Maryland; one nephew, Greg Schmidt, of Vienna, Virginia, and a host of other family and friends. Mrs. Hallock was the President of the Salina Kansas Kennel Club for a total of 16 terms in office, and a delegate for the American Kennel Club. She was a great mother, grandmother, as well as a friend of many. She touched the hearts of those she met, with her cheerful smile and outgoing personality. The wait is now over and she has been reunited with her husband, Jim after 33 years, who she so dearly missed. Mom, Dad I know now that you both will be watching over all of us together, keeping everyone safe and guiding us down the right path of life. She will be dearly missed by all, and we wish her the best on her new and wonderful journey. At her request funeral services will not be held. She will be buried along with her husband in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia. Your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated.
